|Randy Neatherlin has spent his adult life working toward a better Mason County. He has owned several small businesses and is a current Real Estate agent in Belfair. He is a passionate community volunteer who serves or has served on many local and regional Boards (examples include Port of Allyn Commissioner, Chairman of Mason County Planning Commission, Board Member for Mason County Economic Development , Vice-Chair for Mason county Habitat For Humanity, Vice-Chair for Mason County Cancer Crusaders). He was selected as the 2011 Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year. Randy strives to lead by example and knows the difference between attending and participating in the community. He has been on the Front-Line of major Mason County issues from the beginning. Unlike many candidates who are just becoming aware of, and involved in, the multitude of issues facing Mason County citizens, Randy has spent years researching and trying to find solutions to local problems, such as lobbying the Commission to have the Belfair Bypass placed back onto the agenda and to place a hold on Sewer implementation until the costs to the residents and businesses can be made economically sustainable for all.|
As your Commissioner for District 1, Randy Neatherlin will Re-Prioritize our county government by working to:
1. Make Protection of Mason County citizens a top priority (5 new Deputies).
2. Invite in New Businesses, Construction and Jobs (Re-open the UGA’s businesses and streamline the permit processes).
3. Empower the Public over county employees and political money (Develop a Citizen’s Appeals Committee).
4. Unburden Property Owners and Businesses (Reduce regulation and Lessen the Utilities burden).
5. Protect our Environment and Natural Resources (Tax incentives and encouragement of voluntary Land Trusts).
6. Utilize Local Consultants and Employees (Lessen jobs being farmed-out to Seattle and other areas).
Randy Neatherlin will Restore The Trust and will create a Commission that is Open and Honest at all times, never evading or obstructing the people whom they work for: The Citizens of Mason County.
