Pier Peer Events

The South Sound Estuary Association has announced it will continue the popular Pier Peer event, once run by People for Puget Sound, at Boston Harbor Marina.
Participants will have the chance to look below the waters of Puget Sound and discover the lives of some mysterious and beautiful creatures. Jellyfish, colorful sea slugs, predatory worms and more are attracted by underwater lights hanging from a pier.
There will be a pier peer held the first Saturday of every month, starting at 8 p.m., until further notice. The next program will be Nov. 3.
People attending the program should bring their own flashlight and dress for the weather.
The cost is $10 per adult and children are admitted free.
The marina is at 312 73rd Ave. NE, Olympia.
You can learn more about the association and its programs at sseacenter.org.
Mason County’s Pier Peer:  Night Exploration of Hood Canal is this Saturday, Oct 27 at the Hood Canal Marina at Union.
