Starting Wednesday (March 6), anglers will be limited to one salmon per day in Marine Area 9, the portion of Puget Sound stretching from Seattle to Bremerton.State fishery managers approved the new limit – down from two fish per day – after determining that the number of chinook salmon kept or released has exceeded pre-season projections.
Spring chinook salmon are moving into the lower Columbia River, dozens of eastside lakes open for trout fishing March 1, and two razor-clam digs are tentatively scheduled later in the month – including the first morning dig of the season.
