The City of Tumwater is experiencing a rash of copper wire theft. Copper wire is being stolen from the street light systems in various areas of the City. Recently, the newer subdivisions on Tumwater Hill have been the primary targets, but theft has also been experienced along Deschutes Parkway and on the south side of town along 88th Avenue. The City of Olympia is experiencing similar thefts within some of their subdivisions as well.
