New Water Main In Shelton
The City of Shelton is installing a new 12 inch water main from Shelton Springs Road to Hwy 101, then to Hwy 102, and eventually to the Washington State Police Academy. The project will likely
have a major impact on traffic as driving lanes will be very narrow and congested with crews and equipment. Bob Tauscher, the project engineer, says the prep work has already begun and the project will take place over the next several months. There will be trucks, equipment and construction crews along this route, as the project progresses. Driving lanes will be very narrow and congested with crews and equipment. Vehicle delays will be kept to a minimum, but drivers are advised to plan accordingly and whenever possible, select alternate routes—avoiding the impacted area from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.
There will be flaggers staged at various areas, watching equipment and directing traffic. PLEASE BE ALERT AND OBEY THE FLAGGING PERSONNEL’S DIRECTIONS FOR YOUR SAFETY.
The City Commission and Staff – appreciate the cooperation and patience of residents and wish to thank all those affected by the traffic impacts during this critical phase of construction.
