Heard On Daybreak, Jan. 4

Friday on Daybreak, KMAS talked to Kristy Buck, Realtor John L. Scott and  Peggy Zamzow, Mortgage Lender, Peninsula Credit Union. Kristy was voted “Realtor Of The Year” and Zamzow was voted “Affiliate Of The Year”.

Peggy Zamzow, 2012 Affiliate of the Year for the Mason County Association of REALTORS
Peggy Zamzow has been part of the Peninsula Credit Union family since 1981 where she has focused most of her career on mortgage lending.  She became active with the Mason County Association of Realtors in 1996 and was affiliate of the year in 1997 and 2000. She was the Chairperson of the Realtor Political Action Committee in 1999 and 2000. Peggy also served on the MCAR Board from 1997 to 2010 as Secretary and a local director. She has been back on the Board since 2011 as well as serving as the Scholarship Committee Chair since 2001.
Peggy Zamzow, was awarded “Affiliate of the Year” at the annual Mason County Association of Realtors gala on November 30th. The award was voted on by the Association’s membership and focuses on the quality of work Peggy provides for those she works within the world of mortgages and real estate. Peggy was also installed into the Board of Directors for a third term as the Secretary at the event.
Peggy has also been recognized for her work in the development of the Ridge Motorsports Park by the Economic Development Council in 2011.

Kristy Buck, 2012 REALTOR of the Year for the Mason County Association of REALTORS
Kristy Buck was recently honored at the Mason County Association of REALTORS (MCAR) installation event on November 30th, 2012 as the REALTOR of the Year for 2012. Kristy is a full-time REALTOR and co-owner of the local John L. Scott office, yet found the time to chair the MCAR Quality of Life committee (also known as Government Affairs) which put on a Housing Issues Briefing for local politicians, County/City planning staff and business owners. This committee also organized candidate interviews for all local elected offices this election cycle. Kristy also serves as the New Member Orientation chair, welcoming in the newest members of the Association with important information about the Code of Ethics for the REALTOR association.
Kristy is a life-long resident of Mason County, and has been a REALTOR for almost ten years. She was President of MCAR in 2006, and received the REALTOR of the Year honor that same year as well. She has served on the Board of Directors for MCAR almost her entire career in real estate, and has served at the State Association of REALTORS level as a 3-year Local Director, and on the State Government Affairs committee. She lives in Shelton with her husband of 23 years, Jim, and their three yellow labs.
