The City of Tumwater is seeking candidates for appointment to serve as Councilmember for Council Position No. 6.  The position will replace Councilmember Judith Hoefling, who retired in December 2012. The term of this appointment is effective until the next general election on November 5, 2013. To qualify, candidates must be a current registered Tumwater voter, a current resident of Tumwater, and a resident of Tumwater for at least 12 months preceding the temporary appointment. Service involves attendance at numerous City, intergovernmental, and regional meetings. Application forms are available on the City's website at www.ci.tumwater.wa.us. Completed applications must be returned by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, to Tumwater City Hall, 555 Israel Road SW, Tumwater, WA 98501 (late arriving mail will not be accepted).
