Free, Two-Part Naturescaping Class Begins February 5
Sustainable landscaping that can reduce your maintenance chores while attracting birds and butterflies is the subject of a two-part Naturescaping Workshop, beginning on Tuesday, February 5, 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the LOTT Wet Center, 500 Adams Street in Olympia. Sponsored by the Stream Team and WSU Extension’s Native Plant Salvage Project, the free class features hands-on information about incorporating beautiful native and other drought-tolerant plants into your landscape to nurture a healthy environment. In the first class, you’ll learn how to create a draft landscape plan. Come back for the second class on Thursday, March 14, 6:00-9:00 p.m., to have your plan reviewed by landscape experts. Advanced registration is required as space is limited. Go to www.streamteam.info and click on “calendar.” For more information, call 360-867-2166 or email
